This coast is almost 40 minutes north of the popular Arch Cape. The Fort Stevens State Park is the highest point in the Oregon Coat for kite surfing. It is easy to launch your kite here straight from the beach campgrounds and then you can travel downwind for around 1 to 2 hours to see the remains of the Peter Iredale, a ship that ran ashore in 1906.

Cannon Beach

The Cannon beach is a famous destination that offers all kinds of watersports. It is a lovely destination for new kite surfers. The water here is quite low and is perfect for beginners. You can contact the Cannon Beach Surf Shop for coaching lessons and kite surfing tips.

Manzanita

This one is the windiest place for surfing on this coast. The locals advice you to bring the smallest kite possible and launch it from the Southern part of the beach. As an extra bonus, this site also has a small little funky town that is great for exploring the day next to your surfing spree.
